Therapeutic Patient Education (TPE) is the keystone of the management of children with T1DM. It contributes to the improvement of their health, their biological balance, their quality of life and that of their relatives. It also contributes to reducing the costs of long-term care. The aim of our work was to describe and evaluate the methods used in TVE in T1DM in children and adolescents, based on recruitment and follow-up from June 2012 to July 2015. This book is in two parts. The first part consists of a review on TVE, where the reader will find the basics, foundations, practical aspects of TVE in general followed by the particularities in children and adolescents with diabetes.
