The first step is the educational diagnosis, which identifies the patient's needs and takes into account his or her expectations while respecting the different aspects of his or her personality. The caregiver-educator establishes with the patient the objectives to be achieved throughout the course, thus defining the educational contract. The choice of educational sessions can therefore differ according to the learning priorities. The patient can then follow a personalized therapeutic education program.
