The origin of this book starts with importance of goats in India especially in Rajasthan and their serious health concern such as mastitis. Goats are known to be mobile bank of poor farmers in India. These are very important livestock species in India mainly on account of their short generation intervals, higher rates of prolificacy and the ease with, which the goat's products can be marketed. Although, goats are well adopted themselves on sparse forage and extreme climatic conditions where other species of animals may perish. But often mastitis is become serious concern for goats. The mastitis is an economically important disease due to its high morbidly, loss of milk production, high cost of treatment and major adverse effects on the quality of by-products made from contaminated milk. So it is very important to study early detection and therapeutic management of clinical mastitis in goats.
