Autorenporträt
Colonel Pete Donnelly USAF (ret) is a thirty year veteran with multiple combat tours to Southwest Asia, including four tours to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and three to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Entering the Air Force in the early '80s Donnelly started his career as an aviator assigned to B-52s during the culminating days of the Cold War. Sitting Nuclear Alert put things into perspective and when the nation stood down from it's Global Thermonuclear War footing Donnelly moved on to something more tactical. He became an Air Liaison Officer/Tactical Air Control Party member (Forward Air Controller) aligned with storied Army units such as the 10th Mountain Division, The 82d Airborne Division and the XVIIIth Airborne Corps. It was in this role that he deployed numerous times to Afghanistan and Iraq, giving him not only the opportunity to serve his country in combat, but to add to his life experiences episodes that have contributed and still contribute to his writing. He is a highly decorated veteran entrepreneur, a private pilot, sportsman and military contractor.
