This book emphasizes the thermodynamic analysis of a cement industry. The analysis can be used as a precursor to achieve and how to achieve the basic objectives of any cement industry i.e. minimizing energy consumptions, minimizing the cost of production, and maximizing plant productivity. A simple model and a program by using MATLAB has been developed on the basis of mass, energy and exergy balance and has been applied to BVCL. The various performance parameters of the different components have been evaluated by making use of data collected over a year and irreversibility of kiln system has…mehr

The various performance parameters of the different components have been evaluated by making use of data collected over a year and irreversibility of kiln system has been estimated. Various energy conservation opportunities have been identified and some have been examined. A heat recovery steam power plant has been proposed for the generation of electricity, which utilizes the waste heat of this plant. The capacity of the plant has been estimated.
