This book has been designed to study the roof constructions in terms of thermal comfort of the users. The PMV (Predicted Mean Vote), which is a thermal comfort index proposed by FANGER and recommended by authoritarian organisations of the subject like ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-conditioning Engineers) and ISO (International Standards Organisation) is used to compare the thermal performance of the roof constructions. For the estimation of PMV internal surface temperatures were measured and used. Thus it was not necessary to separate the spaces under each roof construction and control the environmental conditions separately.

Born in Episcopi(Limasol),1973.He graduated in 1995-Yildiz Technical University,Dept. of Architecture,in 1998-Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Architecture.He completed his Phd. in 2005 at EMU.He is working as an instructor in EMU,Faculty of Architecture and Dept. of Interior Architecture since 1998.
