However cryptic it may initially sound, by reading this book you will learn how a simple LRC series resonant circuit can be used in combination with a field-effect transistor to generate sufficiently high voltages for ignite an electric discharge in ambient space. Whether you are a researcher, a student or simply a fan of atmospheric pressure electric discharges, this book will not only help you build your own device but also to understand its working principle, how to find the characteristics of the discharge and what practical applications could your plasma be used at.
