Born Joseph Guarnera in Brooklyn, New York, Joseph Paris entered his first hairstyling competitionwinning First Grand Prize for the Empire State Master Hairdressers Guild held at thefamous Granada Hotel.He went on to master his designing skills withthe prestigious House of Revlon and Clairolwho commissioned him to write his first book entitled "The Wonderful World of Wigs."As his reputation grew, Joseph opened his first custom hair salon in New York City.He named it"Joseph Paris Naturally." He has applied his expertise in film, theater and television working with many celebrity clients over the yearsfrom fashioning a mustache for renowned artist Andy Warhol,to designing hair for star clients suchas Gloria DeHaven, Mariska Hargitay, Barbra Streisand, JaclynSmith, Charlie Sheen,Christopher Meloni,Lionel Hampton and Burt Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds was so impressed,that for his film "Physical Evidence" decided to name his character "Joe Paris."After designing hairpieces for thelegendary Frank Sinatra, Joseph Paris served as personal hairstylist for Sinatra onhisfilm, "The First Deadly Sin."Joseph would remain with Sinatra on call at all times as his hair designer,friend and confidant accompanying Sinatra to hisconcerts, personal appearancesas well as Sinatra's residences.At the request of his Majesty King Hassan II, Joseph Paris traveled to Moroccoon special assignmentfor several years as his Majesty King Hassan's royal hairdresser.CELEBRATING 50 YEARS IN BUSINESS! -Joseph Paris continues to operate his New York City salon to this day.His innovation in hair systems has revolutionized the industry worldwide.
