John S. D. Eisenhower (1922-2013), was a United States Army officer, diplomat, military historian, and son of Dwight D. Eisenhower. He authored numerous books, including Soldiers and Statesmen: Reflections on Leadership (published by the University of Missouri Press, 2012) Bitter Woods (about the Battle of the Bulge); Yanks: The Epic Story of the American Army in World War I; Allies: Pearl Harbor to D-Day; and General Ike: A Personal Reminiscence.
