THIS COMPILATION OF THREE SHORT SELECTIONS ARE BASED UPON THINGS THAT TOOK PLACE DURING MY CHILDHOOD. AS ALWAYS MY CHILDHOOD HAD ADVENTURES AND OTHER HAPPENING OF INTEREST. UNEXPECTED FRIENDSHIP IS THE STORY OF A STUDENT "DARREN SKYHAWK" WHO HAD LIVED ON A RESERVATION FOR MOST OF HIS YOUNG LIFE. HIS PARENTS MOVED OFF THE RESERVATION, AT WHICH TIME DARREN HAD TO ENROLL INTO PUBLIC SCHOOL, WHICH HE HATED. HE HATED HOW THERE WERE SNEERS AND STARES MANY TIMES AS HE WOULD WALK PAST PEOPLE - ESPECIALLY THE CLASS BULLY. HE AND HIS GOOD FRIENDS WOULD TEASE HIM AND TRY TO INTIMIDATE HIM TO NO AVAIL. KEVIN KING, ANOTHER STUDENT, TRIED TO BEFRIEND HIM TO LET HIM KNOW THAT NOT EVERYONE WAS LIKE THAT. YOUR TRASH IS MY TREASURE THE YOUTH IN THIS STORY, JUST AS MOST KIDS AT THAT TIME AND ERA, THERE WAS ALWAYS SOMETHING INTERESTING TO GET IN TO. IN THIS STORY THE THREE BOYS LOVED TO EXPLORE...ESPECIALLY IN NEWLY CLEARED FIELDS OR LOTS. SOMETIMES, THERE WAS SOME (BOY) VALUE IN THE THINGS THEY FOUND, ALTHOUGH MOTHERS MAY NOT THINK SO. YOU WILL SEE WHEN YOU READ THIS STORY SOMETIMES TRASH, MAY NOT BE TRASH, BUT A TREASURE.

Autorenporträt
Love for reading has always been a part of this writer's life. She gives credit to her mother for introducing her and her sister to nightly readings. Debora was a highly creative child at age five, she began making up poems and stories even before she was able to put them into writing. As she grew, so did her love for reading and writing. By age thirteen, she was writing complete manuscripts. At fifteen, she had followers who would come and "speak" to her in class so that they could be the first to get their hands on the manuscripts. As time progressed, she read at weddings, elementary and middle schools, and churches. A student at the University of Pine Bluff Arkansas, she took thirteen different literatures and to this day remains one of the best descriptive writers that has passed through the University.
