"Life is a gift, not an obligation. The stuff that you endure, the torture of childish bullies, divorces that are no fault of your own, and all the other squabbles you have complained about are a mere nuisance in the universe. There are much more horrible things and occurrences that people must endure. Even yourself, in past lives." These are the first words spoken to Merritt by her quirky spirit guide, Alma Chaser, before she journeys through the lost hour of the time-change dimension, where she uncovers worlds where serial killers play, where evil spirits dance, and where she uncovers the triggers that ignite her own unmotivated anger and the hidden evils buried within her soul as she takes on other lives in parallel worlds and times. Alma looks up. "Oh, that's the tunnel, ready to take you to your first destination. Don't worry. It doesn't hurt. It's quite fun, actually." But before she can finish her sentence, Merritt's soul is gone to dance through time through the portal of the thirteenth hour.
Autorenporträt
Gina Lynelle Schaefer was born in Lafayette Louisiana in 1970 where she spent the first five years of life dancing to Cajun music and eating beignets. Although she does not have many memories of the swamp, dreams of the amazing cemeteries sprouted throughout the cities mesmerize her mind and igniting a flourishing imagination. To this day she enjoys reminiscing about field trips visiting the historic cemeteries that pepper the landscape where they decorated the graves with flowers and coins in remembrance of the dead. At the age of six, she picked up her Texas twang when she moved to Spring, Texas, a small suburb outside of Houston where she spent most of her childhood except for a brief stint in London. This is when her eyes opened to a much larger world outside of southern hospitality and a love for all things Victorian grew. Although these places seem very different in geography, one thing they all had in common was ghosts. Paranormal activity was a bigger part of her life than Barbie Dolls and Easy Bake Ovens. When making vacation plans, she scopes out haunted sites with an interesting back story. When contacted regarding all thing's ghosts, she is there to help with paranormal consultation and investigations and assurance that not all things are evil and when there is, it can be fought with good. Many of her experiences are documented on her social media accounts. After meeting and marrying an amazing man, she sought out a degree in Psychology, gave birth to her wonderful son Joseph and became a teacher. Now she focuses on her passion of writing paranormal thrillers and investigating haunted sites.
