This is a Biblical Adventure designed to assist the reader in the development of a Conceptual Framework for the Church, better yet, the Ekklesia that Jesus said He would build in Matthew 16:18, and continues to do so today. The Framework can then be used to assure anyone who may ask you to correctly address the message in the Introduction to 1st Peter. This message is one that all Christians should be able to provide to every person who may pose the question to him or her. The word Ekklesia may be a new one for your vocabulary! The word for Church in the Greek language, which Jesus would have spoken is ἐκκλησία, Greek alphabetization. From time to time we will use Ekklesia as it is in Greek. William Tyndale in A.D. 1526, prior to being strangled and burned at the stake in 1536, made this factual, as he translated the word Ekklesia, not to Church, rather in English, it translates to Congregation and/or Assembly, just as Jesus had wanted. It does make sense doesn't it? Tyndale translated the Koine Greek to English. And this gave us one of our first such translations of the New Testament in English. We will leave no doubt about this factual matter. Beware of King James 1st, who changed the word Congregation to Church about 68 years following the printing of William Tyndale!
