"...Gorman exposes rifts, shifts, and thoughtless inequities. Ultimately though, this is a selection of poems about searching in this chaos to find a kind of equilibrium. 'So remember / say the stars / even in turbulent times / to be grateful / for the locations / of every atom / in this uneven universe'" -Marc Janssen, coordinator of the Salem Poetry Project and author of November Reconsidered "...a sweet surprise of short, full-to-bursting nuggets of self-knowing shared for our mutual growth. It is a collection of small, brave, and pointedly insightful poems that question, warn of thin places on the road while alternately inviting and taunting us to pay closer attention to small essentials." -Ayodele Nzinga, author of Horse Eaters, SorrowLand Oracle, and Incandescent Inaugural Poet Laureate of Oakland, CA "Gorman provides insights into the little moments of the day that are the building blocks of what really matters. Each page is layered and nuanced, building upon one another to culminate in a collection that is timely and necessary." -Jessica Mehta, author of When We Talk of Stolen Sisters
