While it is Thomas Dorsey who is called The Father of Gospel Music. It is Thoro Harris that composed or inspired many of the songs and hymns. From an early beginning as a child prodigy, Thoro Harris became a prolific organist, hymn writer and minister. He worked closely with Gospel greats like Bishop Garfield Thomas (G.T.) Haywood, Fred (F. F.) Bosworth, Aimie Simple McPherson, Charles Fox Parham and so many others. He left a legacy of worship that we celebrate.
