One of Windy Dryden's abiding interests in the field of counselling and psychotherapy is to encourage people to take responsibility for developing their mental health. To this end he has written a good number of self-help books, the latest of which is Seven Principles of Good Mental Health, published by Rationality Publications in 2021. Thought for the Day: A Flexible Approach to Mental Health is different from the above books in that it contains 366 thoughts to help you improve your mental health in easily digestible form, one day at a time. One way of using this book is as follows. Each day, focus on one thought, consider it and see how you can apply it in your life. Implement it and observe what effect it has. In this way, you will discover which thoughts can inspire you and which do not have such an effect. Whichever way you decide to use this book it is the author's hope that you will learn something new about yourself and make a positive difference to your mental health based on the application of such knowledge.
