This study is to explore the feasibility of piloting CFLA to better the EFL learners¿ quasiacademic communication skills, the task of bridging the gap within the eclectic TESOL methods and CL-driven-and-pragmatics-based rationale, and the chance of breaking the borders between EFL and English as an EMI. By the 109 partakers¿ presenting discipline-based homework, completing ESLP 82 questionnaire, and replying their quasi-interviewed feedback of post-survey questions, the results after quantitative and qualitative analysis showed the first two questions were cogently solved while the third one was tentatively done. It further highlights the chances and challenge for linking EFL to EMI for EAP.
