It's always fun to tell people that our preferred method of vacation travel is a private airplane. You can almost see the stars in their eyes as they imagine a sleek jet with plush seats and a red carpet and 5 star hotel at every stop. The reality is far less glamorous (although in Albuquerque they do pull out the red carpet for everyone-- I love you Albuquerque!) More often it involves sleeping in a tent (sometimes in a strangers backyard), bouncing through rough air, getting stranded, and the occasional engine trouble or trip to the emergency room. What it always involves is Adventure!
