Jehoida Samuels was born in the parish of Hanover in Jamaica. After leaving school he trained as an engineer in Montego Bay. He then migrated to Britain where he continued working in the engineering field for twenty-five years. He then started his own company, although ill health forced him in to early retirement. He now spends the time writing.
