For over thirty years C. E. Hastie has struggled with these three conditions: Covetousness, Jealousy, and Envy. She eventually realized that was partly because they are so closely related and interconnected. They blend one into another, and this makes them difficult to identify and deal with. She knew and experienced the spiritual symptoms but needed a clearer diagnosis to gain a better understanding of each one. It was also noticeable that other Christians were quite reluctant to admit to having problems in these areas, which made them hard to discuss. This is understandable; they are ugly in nature, especially envy. The overall aim of this book is to give a working definition of each ""sister"" with some ideas for combatting these conditions using accounts and verses from the Bible. There is a final section on the evil eye, which, though related to the other three, is not quite the same. The author still struggles with these three issues but believes that with the Lord's help she and the reader can make progress together.
