Energy is essential to human civilization development. With progress of economics and socialization, there is an expanding demand on renewable energy resources to secure energy supply. We can use energy found in sunlight, wind, falling-water, sea-waves, geothermal heat, or biomass in the form of heat or electricity. Most of the renewable resources comes either directly or indirectly from sun and wind and can never be exhausted. Wind Turbines are one of the oldest known method used to extract energy from the natural sources. With the changing weather and wind speed, it is not possible to produce high constant power from the wind turbine but a small scale wind turbine can be used to produce the power for small scale applications, like fan, refrigerator, bulb etc. This book deals with design, simulation and analysis of a HAWT (Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine) for small scale applications to produce electricity.
