Lagoon House Press authors are Garrett M. Brown, Bill Davis, Barbara Crane, and Marie Pal-Brown.Barbara Crane is an award-winning novelist and short story writer with work published in various literary journals. Her second novel, When Water Was Everywhere, a story set in early California, was published in 2016. She is currently at work on a third. She draws inspiration from her world travels and the natural world. She has lived in Long Beach, CA for over thirty years. Bill Davis, a photographer and writer, focuses on nature photography, particularly birds and whales. His work has been featured in Long Beach newspapers and online. Inspired by travels across North America, Asia, Africa, and Europe, he captures compelling human images too. With a diverse taste in reading, from crime novels to literary fiction, Bill calls Long Beach home for 25 years, having grown up in Southern California.Marie Pal-Brown was raised near Cologne, Germany. She has co-authored three works of lexicography. Her poetry has been included in various anthologies and literary magazines. Lawrence University has incorporated into their German Department curriculum Daughter of the Enemy, a memoir about growing up in wartime and postwar Germany. She is currently working on a selection of epistolary essays chronicling her spiritual life. She resides in Long Beach, California. Garrett M. Brown, a multi-talented artist, acts in film, TV, and theatre, while also writing and painting. A member of Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York and EST-LA in Los Angeles, his plays have been produced in both cities. Forthcoming are his hybrid memoir, Tin Sea, and a book of poems. Inspired by writers like Chekhov, Rilke, Hemingway, Marguerite Duras, James Salter, and Nora Ephron, he now resides in Long Beach, California. Go to lagoonhousepress.com for more information.
