Maud Harris, grew up in Abertillery, a Welsh mining village, one of four children.. Married 1962 and accompanied my husband to Cyprus at the time of the Eoka unrest, witnessed the first bombs and gunfire there. I gradually got used to the sound - even took it for granted after a while. Posted eventually to Berlin when the wall was up, then Malta, Cyprus again (this time it was when the Turks invaded) after that, Singapore in 1975 when Saigon fell. then Germany again, this time West Germany, Celle, Werl, Rheindahlen, Herford.Worked as a nurse in various Forces Medical centres, Casualty units and schools. Trained as a Relate counsellor While I was in Germany. this involved many trips to their college in Rugby. Started writing my first book in Cyprus in the 60's and added bits as time allowed. Next planned book is a semi factual novel set in Singapore.
