Dr. Bridgette Jenkins is a woman of God, Nurse, motivational speaker, educator, prayer warrior, autoimmune disease warrior, mother, grandmother, friend, mentor, and coach. She is called to serve the people of God and she does it with love and compassion. Dr. Bridgette Jenkins is a doctorally prepared registered nurse who specializes in education and community health. She has a heart for nursing students and those struggling to reach their education and career goals. She serves as mentor and coach to nurses and nursing students as they matriculate through the nursing profession. She teaches life saving courses to healthcare providers and the public. She also offers a variety of courses to healthcare providers to help them stay current on updates and changes within the healthcare arena. Dr. Bridgette also speaks at churches and community events on various health issues that are prevalent among vulnerable populations. In her spare time, Dr. Bridgette can be found enjoying life with her beautiful family & friends. She can also be found participating in activities that bring awareness to diseases like; breast cancer, heart disease, lupus, diabetes, Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis and diseases that cause blindness. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society, American Nurses Association, Texas Nurses Association and she serves as a Member at Large for the National Organization for Nurses with Disabilities (NOND) and as the NOND representative to the National Disability Leadership Alliance Steering Committee Task Force on Racism within the Disability Community. Bridgette resides in Houston Texas where she's actively involved in her church and community. She is a mother to three adult children and a miniature schnauzer named Dallas. She is also MiMi to two adorable grandsons.
