Autorenporträt
My name is Crystal Stevenson an Indianola, Ms. native, I was born July 19,1985. I graduated from Gentry High School I was also a member of the Gentry High Alumni Band. I went to study, nursing, culinary arts/home economics/ business management/entrepreneurship, cosmetology, creative writing, and accounting. I had a passion to help others in need, so I decided to become a nurse, I worked in the nursing field for over 17yrs. I grew up in a single-family home and my mother did all she could to make ends meet raising my brother and I who was older. We had some very hard days considering we was living in poverty. So, to get through the rough days I would write poems and songs to ease my mind and the pain. Writing came naturally to me, it's like freedom of thought with the ability to speak and say what I was unable to say out loud. I want to show the young generation and the older generation that its ok to be different and have your own thoughts. Be who you are and don't be afraid of your passions and gifts.
