The normal level of thyroid hormones is a necessary condition for the harmonious functioning of the woman's body, as they participate in all kinds of metabolism, affect sexual development, menstrual function, ovulation. The study was based on data from a survey of women with diffuse toxic goiter who had undergone radioiodine therapy. The problem of the reproductive function of women after radioiodine therapy is still poorly understood. According to some authors, in conducting the gonadal function study, women did not have a significant effect on fertility, the weight of children at birth, the percentage of embryonic abnormalities. A high level of defeat of diffuse toxic goiter in women of fertile age determines the need to choose approaches to the treatment of this disease, aimed at preserving sexual function.
