Tick fauna are attracting the researchers in many aspects but there is paucity of scientific information regarding the tick species and their relative prevalence in Nepal. Study of tick as vector of diseases of animal and human is not it s limit but today s global warming and climate change can be attributed with qualitative and quantitatively with the prevalence of tick fauna in different geographical region where previously they do not or found in different degrees. This book provides the identification and prevalence of tick species in Kathmandu valley, Nepal and it tries to co-relate with temperature and prevalence of tick borne common animal diseases of that region. This book will be reference book for the tick fauna of Kathmandu valley and equally helpful for study of epidemiology of tick borne diseases of animal and human with relation to climate change.
