Implant-supported fixed prosthesis is a current and common treatment for the rehabilitation of edentulous jaws in field of prosthetic dentistry. In the resorbed posterior maxilla, implant tilting makes it possible to avoid the sinus antrum and to improve the posterior prosthetic support. Tilted implants were placed when there was not enough bone, allowing successful treatment of patients by means of fixed prostheses. This philosophy of placing implants in the pre-existing bone avoided more complex surgical procedures such as the maxillary sinus bone graft and other regenerative procedures. But tilting implant may complicate the prosthetic treatment. So, in this book we are going to present evidences how tilting of implants influences the rehabilitation of edentulous jaw and also discuss about concepts in tilted implants.
