Catch an imaginary frog. Sing like a bird. Add peek-a-boo and lots of laughter and cuddles for extra fun. Time for You and Me demonstrates how to play interactively with your child through a really catchy, cute, and fun rhyming verse format. Meant to encourage thoughtful, interactive play between parent and child, or caregiver and child, this book hinges on child-focused play, meaning it is centred around the child. The words are direction to inspire the course of the interaction between parent and child. This is first in a series of five books that take you and your little one on a journey of development through intentional play. With fun, rhyming verse and simple activities, these accessible books will spark a desire to take some time during the day to come together, "you and me," to connect.

Autorenporträt
Deborah Batt has worked in child welfare for over twenty years and has training related to child development and infant mental health. She believes the parent-child relationship is the most important to a child's future successes. Through interactive play the parent and child have an opportunity to enhance and grow this connection. Her love of verse and words helped her to create a fun and practical way to promote and encourage parents to just take some time for 'you and me' to play.
