Autorenporträt
Tomás Mac Conmara is an award-winning oral historian from Co. Clare. In 2016, he was commended by President Michael D. Higgins, as one of seven recipients who have made outstanding contributions to culture over the last 100 years for a Comhaltas Forógra na Cásca Centenary Award. He began recording oral history at the age of fifteen and is now recognised as one of Ireland's leading oral historians. He founded of Cuimhneamh an Chláir (Memories of Clare). Tomás runs a heritage consultancy, leading cultural projects for national clients like Waterways Ireland, the Defence Forces and several local authorities. He previously published Days of Hunger, The Clare Volunteers and the Mountjoy Hunger Strike of 1917.
