Daniel Nie: Often I hear people say that their life was not going the way they wanted it to. I was not exceptional in this regard either. I remember at one particular point in my life, nothing was going my way at all. Daniel Nie: Often I hear people say that their life was not going the way they wanted it to. I was not exceptional in this regard either. I remember at one particular point in my life, nothing was going my way at all. I was laid off, my newly started business was failing, my marriage was hanging on a thin string, my newborn daughter was very sick, and I was completely broke. However, I realized I was blessed with the inner power of "creativity." With this ability, I put myself together, and I started to build a new life, a successful life. We are so accustomed to looking at things (such as problems, stresses, and anxieties) in one way only. When we do this, we only see fragments of the whole picture and base our responses, actions, and decisions on our limited judgments. This faulty way of thinking and reasoning is often the main reason why our lives often do not go the way we plan, and our problems become more and more difficult to solve. But what if we can train our minds to change the way we think?
Autorenporträt
About the Author Daniel Nie, M.F.A., artist, motivational speaker, and workshop leader, has a lifetime of experience in the art of using Sumi-e ink and a pointed brush to create hieroglyphs. In 1990, he was an art professor at St. Andrews Presbyterian College, and there he developed a new art form he called "Coolligraphy." This form of calligraphy intertwines the letters of a word or words to create an intricate hieroglyphic image. This form of art is not only unique, but the process of creating it also requires special skills that take years to perfect. Daniel's Coolligraphy demonstrations always bring enjoyment and amazement to audiences at his exhibitions. Recipient of the Sam Ragan NC Fine Arts Award in 2000, his workshops are well received by corporations, civic groups, and organizations. Daniel has spent the past 20 years traveling around the country to different venues and sharing his art and talent with thousands of his fans. Daniel Nie has a B.A. from Wake Forest University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from The American University, Washington, D.C. He welcomes the invitation to be a guest speaker at your next event.
