This is book #2 of the Timothy Cooper balloon-themed children book series. This adventure begins when Timmy's grandmother comes over for a visit. She recounts a story about when Timmy receives his very first balloon, back when he was only 4 years old. The magic unfolds when Timmy, while playing with his balloon outside, accidentally releases it into the sky. From this point on, the story takes on a life of its own through the eyes of Boone (the balloon). As he travels higher and higher, a strange transformation takes place and a miracle happens and Boone's life begins. He weathers the harsh element as the winds take him to a magical place far far away. During his journey, he meets other balloons and makes a few special friends. Balloon Bay is a magical balloon carnival world where all balloons aspire to go. But getting there is very difficult and most balloons cannot make it. While visiting Balloon Bay, Boone's love for Timmy grows ever stronger as he sets off to figure out a way to reunite himself with his best friend. Michael L. Strauss (1959-2019) was born and grew up in S.California. I worked in the Toy industry for 34 years, working up to a position of Staff Designer and Master Model Maker, before I started this wonderful series of children's books. I studied Fine art, sculpting, and photography in college, and also mechanical design because I was fascinated as to how things work. The toys that I have worked on in the past, have been influencing children's imaginations all over the world now for over 3 decades. I always wanted to write and illustrate children's books but never had the time, my career had been very demanding. Now creating art and children's books, I look forward with continuing my passion for creating and influencing children with positive, wholesome adventure stories filled with so much wonder and the raw power of love and imagination. A superhero power achievable by every child. Much of what I create is influenced by childhood memories and remembering my imagination as a small boy. The one thing that my extensive toy experience has helped teach me is how to connect to my limitless imagination and my inner child. After all, I based my entire fun-filled career on just my imagination.
