Sean grew up in Artane and wrote from an early age winning several awards for his poetry and short stories.His first play, Noah and the Tower Flower , was produced by Fishamble at the Axis Theatre, Ballymun in 2007, and received The Irish Times New Play Award and the Stewart Parker Trust Award. Fishamble subsequently commissioned Sean to write Big Ole Piece of Cake, (Re-worked and re-named CYCLOPS) and The Bruising of Clouds which was part of the Dublin theatre festival 2013. Both received critical acclaim. Tina's Idea of fun is Sean's first outing for The Abbey Theatre. It is also his first outing as Sean Patrick Summers (Formerly Sean P. McLoughlin).
