Wendy Smale spent over forty years as an early childhood educator, including ten years as a kindergarten teacher. She has always been passionate about helping kids feel confident, strong and special. She now enjoys retirement by spending time with her grandchildren, travelling with her husband Steve, cross-country skiing, biking and reading as much as possible. Carley Smale is a screenwriter who has had over ten screenplays produced and sold to Netflix, The Hallmark Channel, Lifetime and Discovery+. She has always loved storytelling and was greatly inspired by Roald Dahl, Lynn Johnston and Dr. Seuss growing up. She enjoys travelling, drawing, watching movies and reading, as well as spending time with her certifiably insane dog, Lemon.
