Autorenporträt
Kerrie Carnes Salwa is the previous owner and operator of The Spillway, a neighborhood tavern, in the small but unique town of Clinton, located in central Massachusetts. Kerrie was born in Monroe, North Carolina, and raised in the Mentor Headlands, Ohio, outside of Cleveland. She moved to Massachusetts when she was 13. After college, Kerrie worked at the State House in Boston and the City Hall in Leominster. She currently resides in Clinton with her husband, Seth, and her twin daughters and works at a local university. In 2010, Kerrie started a Massachusetts chapter of an organization called Breast Intentions. The group raises money year round to help local breast cancer patients pay their bills while undergoing treatment or while in recovery. Breast Intentions of MA is very dear to Kerrie's heart, so a portion of the proceeds from this book will go to Breast Intentions of MA's ongoing efforts.
