Autorenporträt
Lawrie Barton has enjoyed recording her own life experiences through poetry, both in her career as an educator and in her personal life with friends and family. Having lived in Ontario, Cape Breton and Nunavut, she has always encouraged people to write and share poems with friends and family alike and has received two awards for her children's' poetry, one in 1977 from The Federation of Women Teachers of Ontario, and another from the Writers Federation of Nova Scotia in 1980.
