"Hygge," the word currently circulating from Denmark, the country that has topped the World Happiness Report three times since in 2012, is one description of To Denmark With Love, written by an American who married a Viking. This is also why that other word "scand-wagon" has become a worldwide invitation for enjoyment, friendship and discovery. So take an adventure with Judy Falck-Madsen into many wonderfully humorous anecdotes about town and country living in Denmark, the land of Hans Christian Andersen. The story lines are furnished by friendly Danes, mischievous children, an assortment of animals, both wild and domestic, and one genuine Viking - the author's husband, Finn. It's a life that's built on a deep respect for nature, tradition, and just plain fun. Denmark provides the setting, but the wisdom gained is universal.
