Rockfill dams are mostly constructed using blasted rockfill materials obtained by blasting rocks or alluvial rock fill materials collected from the riverbeds. The author was born in a tiny village Ukhli, District Hamirpur (HP) India. He obtained his AMIE in Civil Engineering,Master¿s Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering from Thapper Institute and Phd in Civil Engineering from Punjab Technical university Jallander with specialization in rockfill material.
