Tobias Jacob "Toby" Moskowitz (born February 3, 1971) is an American financial economist and a professor at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (GSB). He was the winner of the 2007 American Finance Association (AFA) Fischer Black Prize, which is awarded biennially to the top finance scholar under the age of 40 in years when one is deemed deserving.Moskowitz has been a faculty member at the GSB since 1998. Moskowitz has published numerous award winning research papers and was promoted to full professor in 2005. He is currently the Professor of Finance and Neubauer Family Faculty Fellow at the GSB. In 2007, he was the second winner of the Fischer Black prize. There had been no winner in 2005 after Raghuram G. Rajan won the inaugural award in 2003.
