Moskowitz has published numerous award winning research papers and was promoted to full professor in 2005. He is currently the Professor of Finance and Neubauer Family Faculty Fellow at the GSB. In 2007, he was the second winner of the Fischer Black prize. There had been no winner in 2005 after Raghuram G. Rajan won the inaugural award in 2003.
