They also mention that this increase to the minimum wage seeks to improve the quality of life of Mexicans, as well as their purchasing power, noting that this decision will lead Mexico to occupy the 76th place among 135 countries in terms of minimum wage, the Federal Government argues that this decision will benefit the economy, reduce economic inequality between women and men and strengthen the domestic market without increasing inflation or creating unemployment not all members of the business sector support this increase.
