The book, structured in four chapters, raises the issue of marriage and dowry practices, especially in Africa. There is nothing more normal than getting married. It is a reality that has its source in the story of creation and the origin of man and woman. Indeed, the third millennium is marked by a profound upheaval in many areas of human history, especially in the social, economic, political and technological fields. We are witnessing a "historical turning point", a kind of social revolution with, at times, extreme turmoil, changing behavior, habits, and especially social practices including marriage and the dowry that accompanies it. Getting married today remains a difficult equation to solve for many single people, especially young people who do not know which saint to follow.
