Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Todd Dills is a writer and editor, born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and currently living in Nashville, Tennessee. He received an MFA in fiction from Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois. His short stories have appeared in many publications, most notably The Chicago Reader . His first novel, Sons of the Rapture, was published in 2006 by independent publisher featherproof books. Sons of the Rapture tells the sprawling family history of narrator Billy Jones from his roots in rural South Carolina (including a not-too-subtle parody of former Senator Strom Thurmond), all the way to his misadventures in Chicago with a local drag queen, a confederate graycoat, and a gun. The book has received mostly positive reviews. Jamie Iredell described the book''s style as, Utterly absurd, but beautifully rendered and completely believable. Jim Ruland described the book as having, the madcap quality of a road novel, an intense sense of place of the best regional writing, and an eminently Faulknerian sense of history where deeds of 150 years ago are as integral to the plot as the details lost to last night''s blackout.
