Dana E. Davis is an independent researcher in Southern U.S. history. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Georgia, and she has written for, edited, and managed numerous newspapers and magazines. She also has her own column, Direct from Dana, which has been featured in several publications. Davis is a work-at-home mother of two who runs her own part-time writing, editing and graphics service.
