It was Tuesday, 6th September 2016. As I waited to meet the doctor, I took a silent deep breath. I tried to be calm. 'We have your biopsy results and I'm afraid it's not good news. You have Squamous cell carcinoma.' The news hit me like a sledgehammer. I had cancer. Tongue Cancer and I was written to guide those who find themselves faced with a conversation similar to the one above. Though it is Dev's own personal journey, he has documented each part in detail, in the hopes that it will empower others to face and overcome the same challenges he faced, with information they may not find elsewhere.
