Carol Champney's love of writing began at age 13. Her family had just moved 160 miles across Washington state leaving behind all the friends she grew up with. She wrote letters every day for eight-plus years to her best friend. This fostered her love of writing and led to freelance work in editing, writing magazine articles, and books.
