Fire is an important ecological factor that has shaped our environment since the beginning of time. The use of fire as a means of development dates back to even earlier times, mainly for hunting and to facilitate the movement of populations. The work highlights the harmful nature of bush fires on natural resources. All actors must coordinate and combine their efforts for a better use and management of bushfires. It is necessary to strengthen the fire management capacity of the various actors involved and to adopt a participatory and pragmatic approach. The study was conducted in two rural communes selected by the technical structures, namely N'Golonianasso (Koutiala) and Zantiébougou (Bougouni). Fire management was analyzed using the tools of the Accelerated Participatory Research Method.
