Kira Freed, MA, LPC, BCC, is a licensed mental health counselor, certified life and wellness coach, and freelance writer with master's degrees in integral counseling psychology and anthropology, a certificate in nonfiction writing, and advanced training in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model of psychotherapy. Her human development work, a blend of professional coaching and IFS, is grounded in the understanding that all our parts, or aspects, have wisdom and positive intent that can be harnessed in service of our highest vision for our life. Kira is also a prolific writer for educational publishers, having written more than 175 K-8 books. Topics range from nonfiction subjects such as history, biography, and life science to a fictionalized third-grade adaptation of her memoir, Losing and Finding My Father, titled Losing Grandpa.
