Autorenporträt
Joni Swedlund (www.innerrock.com) retired from her corporate career to start her own business. Her past 26-year career as a female executive and partner with Deloitte fueled her passion to see more empowered women and girls in leadership positions. Her deep desire is to inspire women and girls to step into their leadership which led to her founding the Inner Rock Group. Joni also has a passion for writing children's stories and books on leadership. She is the author of Tootalina, a story about a small dog with big toots who always toots in the most inconvenient places who learned to overcome her fear of a perceived flaw and recognize it is an extraordinary gift. She created a companion activity book called Tooting Around the World with Tootalina designed to help busy Moms during the pandemic by challenging young minds with a variety of activities and inspiring children to learn about different countries and their culture. She is the author of the soon-to-be-released leadership book called Lead from Inside Out. Joni enjoys storytelling, meditating, laughing, being silly with her girls, and playing with her puppy. She is a certified executive coach, a member of the National Speakers Association, the Virginia Writer's Club, and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). She lives in the Washington, DC area with her family.
