In telling this story from his point of view, he will attempt to persuade the reader that although never large in terms of numbers, Jews, Judaism, and Israel played important and unrecognized roles in each stage of Hawaiian history from 1778 to the present. Further, this book seeks to persuade readers that such impact is based on admirable personal traits derived from Jewish traditions and heritage. Those traits, if examined, understood, and applied properly, foster constructive, responsible, and productive actions. They encourage Jews to work toward the improvement of the social conditions of the societies and communities in which Jews live.

Illustrator Hunter HughesHunter Hughes lives and works in Honolulu Hawaii as an illustrator and creative professional. He studied animation at the University of Hawaii-Manoa where he also played football. Much like this playlet, bringing sports, art, and faith together is one of Hunter's passions. He also helps young athletes get better at sports through videos on Tik Tok and YouTube under a program called 'All Around Athlete.". His presentations have been seen by millions and he helps to make a lasting positive developmental impact on young people through combining art, technology, and sports. Hunter is a tournament golfer and works a pro trainer at golf clubs on Oahu.
