Take a thought-provoking journey into the world of violence in entertainment with "Blood, Pixels, and Reflections: An Autoethnography of Violence in Entertainment." This autoethnography provides a self-reflexive personal narrative, offering a unique perspective on the creation of violence as a form of entertainment. Combining making-of-the-film vignettes with self-analysis, the author seeks to understand why they willingly consume and create violent imagery and how this contributes to the broader culture of violence. This work challenges the conventional transmission view of communication by arguing that certain forms of communication, especially horror films, are best comprehended through the ritual model of communication.
