The present study deals with an important topic in the elective surgery of the knee that is total arthroplasty, from the perspective of complex evaluation of pre-, intra- and postoperative risk factors with an impact on short and long term results in patients with knee arthroplasty. The analysis brings severalnovelty notions in what concerns the implementation of a new pre- and postoperative radiologic planning and the importance of evaluating the new protocol from the perspective of short and long term results in patients with knee replacement. The new radiologic planning manages to cover the entire preoperative balance sheet of deformities in frontal and rotational plane and thus becomes a usual protocol in knee arthroplasty.
